Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Gear Dios platform, developed and maintained by Mika Data Solutions. Please read them carefully before using any of our services.

Acceptance of Terms

Gear Dios is a product developed, managed, and maintained by Mika Data Solutions. By accessing or using any Gear Dios service — including the Admin Portal (admin.geardios.io), Shop Floor App (floor.geardios.io), Customer Portal (customer.geardios.io), or this website (geardios.io) — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.


If you are using Gear Dios on behalf of a business (such as an auto repair shop), you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.


If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.

Description of Services

Gear Dios provides an AI-powered auto repair shop management platform consisting of:

  • Admin Portal — A web application for shop owners and managers to manage repair orders, staff, scheduling, customer communication, parts, accounting, and reporting
  • Shop Floor App — A technician-facing application for real-time job management, digital vehicle inspections, time tracking, and customer communication
  • Customer Portal — A customer-facing application allowing vehicle owners to view inspection results, approve or decline repairs, track service progress, and communicate with their shop

Accounts and Registration

Shop Accounts

Shop owners register their business through the Admin Portal. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to operate the auto repair business.

Staff Accounts

Staff accounts are created by shop owners or admins. Staff members must register their phone number and verify it via one-time passcode to access the Shop Floor App. Staff are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials.

Customer Accounts

Customers register through the Customer Portal using their phone number. Account creation constitutes consent to receive transactional SMS notifications from the auto repair shop managing their vehicle.

Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify support@geardios.io immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

SMS Messaging Terms

By checking the SMS opt-in checkbox on our registration form or booking widget and providing your phone number, you explicitly consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Gear Dios on behalf of your auto repair shop.


MOBILE NUMBER NON-SHARING: Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data will NOT be shared, sold, rented, or distributed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are shared only with Twilio solely for the purpose of message delivery.


Opt-in is collected via:

— Unchecked checkbox on the customer registration form at customer.geardios.io/register

— Unchecked checkbox on the online appointment booking widget

Both checkboxes are optional and unchecked by default. Submitting the form without checking the box does not constitute SMS consent.

  • Message types: Transactional notifications including repair status updates, approval requests, appointment confirmations, pickup alerts, and staff welcome messages
  • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on service activity — typically 1–3 messages per active repair order, 0–2 per month for reminders only
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan
  • Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages will be sent
  • Re-subscribe: Reply START or UNSTOP at any time to re-subscribe to notifications
  • Help: Reply HELP or contact support@geardios.io or +1 (260) 276-6071 for assistance
  • Carriers: Gear Dios is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Gear Dios services to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited messages, or harassing communications
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or another user's account
  • Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt or damage the platform
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without written permission
  • Use the platform to manage illegal vehicle activity
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform

Intellectual Property

Gear Dios and its developer Mika Data Solutions own all rights, title, and interest in the platform, including software, design, trademarks, and content. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any platform component.


Your shop data, customer records, repair orders, and business information remain your property. By using Gear Dios, you grant us a limited license to process that data to provide the services described in these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Payments and Billing

Gear Dios subscription fees are billed as described at the time of purchase. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on the agreed billing cycle.


Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with overdue payments. Prices may change with 30 days written notice.

Data and Privacy

Your use of Gear Dios is subject to our Privacy Policy (geardios.io/privacy), which is incorporated into these terms by reference. We process personal data including customer phone numbers, vehicle information, and service history to provide the platform's functionality.


You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate consent and legal basis to share your customers' personal information with Gear Dios, including phone numbers used for SMS notifications.

Third-Party Services

Gear Dios integrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google), Twilio, SendGrid, Stripe, PartsTech, and QuickBooks Online. Your use of these integrations is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. Gear Dios is not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. GEAR DIOS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.


AI-GENERATED DIAGNOSTIC SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DO NOT CONSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL AUTOMOTIVE ADVICE. QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS SHOULD VERIFY ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT BEFORE ACTING ON IT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEAR DIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.


OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GEAR DIOS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting support@geardios.io. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if required by law.


Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease. We will retain your data for 30 days during which you may request an export. After 30 days, data may be permanently deleted subject to legal retention requirements.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.


Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable federal or state law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and by email to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
